Connect Notion

Create a Notion internal integration, enable its capabilities, share pages with it and paste its token into Walli-AI.

Updated October 4, 2026

Connecting Notion lets an agent search and read pages and databases, and optionally edit pages or add content. You create an internal connection in Notion, enable the capabilities below, share pages with it, and paste its token into Walli-AI.

Set up the connection

Credential: Notion internal integration token.

  1. In the Notion Developer portal, go to connections and create an internal connection (you must be a workspace owner). (source)
  2. Open the Configuration tab of the connection and copy the API token, then paste it here. (source)
  3. Enable the capabilities listed below for the connection. (source)
  4. In Notion, open each page the agent should use, click the ... menu at the top right, scroll to Add connections, and select your connection. It can only see pages shared with it. (source)

Required scopes

Scope What it enables What breaks without it Source
Read content Read content Agents cannot search or read Notion pages and databases. Also check that pages are shared with the integration. source

Optional capabilities

Scope What it enables What breaks without it Source
Update content Update content Agents cannot edit Notion pages. source
Insert content Insert content Agents cannot create pages or add blocks. source

If a feature says a permission is missing

Open the Integrations page and look at the Notion connection. It lists what is missing and which features that turns off, and Re-check runs the check again. Enable the capability on the connection as in step 3 above, then choose Re-check.

Troubleshooting

  • The agent finds no pages: share each page the agent should use with the connection, as in step 4 above (Notion: authorization).
  • The agent cannot edit a page: check the update and insert capabilities were enabled, as in step 3 above.
