Connect Jira
Create an Atlassian API token and enter it in Walli-AI with your site and email.
Connecting Jira lets an agent read issues and projects, and optionally create, edit, comment on and transition issues. You create an Atlassian API token and enter it in Walli-AI together with your site and email.
Set up the connection
Credential: Atlassian API token. Format: company.atlassian.net|email@domain.com:ATATT....
- Open https://id.atlassian.com/manage-profile/security/api-tokens and choose Create API token (or Create API token with scopes). (source)
- Name the token, choose an expiry, choose Create, then Copy to clipboard. Atlassian states you cannot recover the token after this step, so save it before leaving. (source)
- Enter it in Walli-AI as
.atlassian.net| : . (source)
Required scopes
- Read issues and projects: See Atlassian documentation: https://support.atlassian.com/atlassian-account/docs/manage-api-tokens-for-your-atlassian-account/
Optional capabilities
- Create, edit, comment on and transition issues: See Atlassian documentation: https://support.atlassian.com/atlassian-account/docs/manage-api-tokens-for-your-atlassian-account/
If a feature says a permission is missing
Open the Integrations page and look at the Jira connection. It shows what the check found and which features are affected, and Re-check runs the check again. See Atlassian documentation for scoped API tokens, then choose Re-check.
Troubleshooting
- The connection is rejected: check the entry format is your-site.atlassian.net, a pipe, your email, a colon, then the API token.
- You lost the token: Atlassian says it cannot be recovered after the create step (see step 2 above), so create a new one.
